Paul L. Sanders - Assistant Pastor of Youth & Family

 

Paul is the youngest of eight children and son of Rhett and Virginia Sanders. Paul grew up a child of the covenant in the PCA, and by God's grace, entered into a relationship with Jesus very early in life. 

Paul received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Columbia International University in 1998. After a lifetime of being around and involved in ministry, Paul has served in Family and Student ministry for more than fourteen years now. He chipped away at his masters for ten of those years on the side and did attain his Masters of Divinity in May 2008 from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.  Paul was licensed as a minister of the gospel by the Calvary Presbytery in the Fall of '08 and ordained as a Teaching Elder in the PCA at Mt. Calvary on February 8, 2009.

Paul served as Director of Student Ministries at New Harmony & Sardinia Presbyterian Churches (PCA) under one of the denominations Founding Fathers, Dr. Gordon K. Reed from February of 1996 to January of 2005. He joined the Mt. Calvary staff in February of 2005.

Paul continues to exercise his calling to ministry by running alongside of families helping to evangelize and disciple youth and children in order to build up ambassadors for Christ.  Paul has a passion for Word driven ministry and for the training and equipping of the saints for ministry.

Paul and his wife Suzanne (of Hendersonville, Tennessee) have three daughters and two sons between the ages of eight years and 20 months old.

In addition to all this fun, Paul is a rabid Clemson and college football fan!
